AXXIS is a German heavy metal band founded in 1985. The band consists of Bernhard Weiß (vocals), Harry Oellers (guitar), Rob Schomaker (bass) and Thomas Winkler (drums). They started performing live in local clubs and quickly gained a reputation for their energetic performances. In 1989, they released their debut album "Kingdom of the Night". The album was a commercial success in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, with the hit single "Living in a World" that made it to the top 10 of the German charts. After the success of "Kingdom of the Night", AXXIS released several more albums in the early 1990s, amongst others „Axxis I“, "Access All Areas" and "The Big Thrill". Each of these albums was a commercial success and included hit singles that landed in the top 20 of the German charts. In the mid-1990s, AXXIS continued to go on tour and reliably released more albums, with their music being continuously popular with heavy metal fans. Their albums "Eyes of Darkness", "Back to the Kingdom", and "Voodoo Vibes" were all commercial successes. "Voodoo Vibes Live", a live recording of songs from their previous album "Voodoo Vibes", was released by AXXIS in 1997. In recent years, AXXIS released more albums such as "Paradise in Flames", "Utopia", "Retrolution", "Monster Hero", ", and "II Big Bang Theory". The band remains active in the heavy metal scene and has an engaged fanbase. During the course of their career, most AXXIS albums turned into true classics of the German heavy metal scene. The band has a unique sound that combines elements of traditional heavy metal with modern production techniques and continuously developed over the years. They were influential in the German heavy metal scene and their music remains popular with heavy metal fans to this day.
