Those who were there to witness AXXIS' indoor appearance at BANG YOUR HEAD!!! 2017 will surely remember this grand finale of a great weekend of events in Balingen. The atmosphere on and in front of the stage was equally fantastic and the recorded material of such good quality that Bernhard Weiß, Harry Oellers and co. decided to release the whole thing in the form of a Blu-ray.
EPICA and HARDCORE SUPERSTAR have joined the ranks of the acts that have confirmed to participate in our new festival date in 2021. The Dutch symphonic metal stars will make their postponed Balingen debut, while our Swedish friends are starting the next attempt to rock BANG YOUR HEAD!!! after the equipment chaos in 2019 and this year's corona crisis. We are sure that nothing can go wrong this time, as you know: All good things come in threes! :-)
Who cannot be there in 2021 are Gothenburg's NIGHT VIPER who were confirmed for our warm-up show. Unfortunately, a few days ago and for various reasons the band has decided to put its career on hiatus.
Since we have received some questions about the topic "Coronavirus", here's a short statement on behalf of us.
Regarding the current state of affairs, there is no reason to assume that open air summer events cannot take place. Right now, the enactment of the federal state of Baden-Württemberg is prohibiting music festivals only until mid of June. Therefore, we are not considering to cancel the BANG YOUR HEAD !!! or the ROCK OF AGES Festival at this very moment..
Yet we continue to follow the events and the information from relevant sources such as the Federal Ministry of Health or the Robert Koch Institute, of course, and will decide and act with due caution if it should actually be appropriate. In our view, however, this is currently not the case.

BYH!!! Warm Up Show
Traditionally, the festival kicks off with a full dose of metal one evening prior to the main event: our traditional BYH!!! warm up show taking place at the fairground hall right at the festival venue. Tickets for the warm up show as well as for the festival may be purchased at doors or at our online shop. There's a special price policy for visitors buying/owning a festival ticket, too.
